Web service WhatTheFont analyzes uploaded images and returns the font style matching the font used in the image.
Ever wanted to find a font just like the one used by certain publications, corporations, or ad campaigns? Well now you can, using our WhatTheFont font recognition system. Upload a scanned image of the font and instantly find the closest matches in our database.
I tried a few "scanned" images (i.e., pictures taken with my digital camera) and WhatTheFont analyzed the pictures and returned the right font to me instantly. And if WhatTheFont can't find your font, you can still submit the font to their active forum.
This could be a very cool app for all of you designers and web publishers out there looking to find the name of that elusive font you've been dying to use.
