is there a way to disable email auth?
im usin nuke 7 & when people reg they dont get sent a email out so i want to turn auth off, i think i turned it off in the admin/config & admin/user_info but it still goes to send out a email > then i get aload of people waiting for auth

Its in your admin>Forums>configuration turn off the activate by email.

done that well
where it says
Enable account activation None User Admin

i selected none at first then user user but still says its sending out a email but it doesnt

i dont emails to be sent out

ive tried everything but it says when a new user signs up that a email has been sent & to click the link in side the email to complete the process. i tried with a few of my accounts & no email even comes, from what i can see it looks like i have turned it off but still says email needs clicking thats been sent

I'm having the same exact problem, and it seems no one knows how to completely disable the email activation, anywhere. And since I never got an activation email from phpnuke.org (thats right, no activation email from the CREATER of nuke), I cant ask in their forums how to disable it. Oh well, I'll try getting the SMTP info from my friends web host, see if that helps.
