Hi, im running redhat linux 9 and im using php nuke 7.0 . whenever a user comes to register it doenst send an activation link to the email. Do i have to be running a mail server on my computer? I am on a network, so mabe thats the problem? if that cant be fixed, is there a way to disable email activation. thanks for ur help

This was answered somewhere in these Forums. Can you install an smtp on your puter? And have you tried changing the admin>Forums>configuration to not mail user?

i want to desactivate the send mail to new users ...but is not working..i tick the dot where says not to send email ..but is not changing at all.. the dot still go backs to send mail agaim.

have you also tried to download the Your_account script of [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] which has some additional features:) It is called

Features in the 3.0.2e version:


+ Fixed password issue.
+ Fixed alignment issue.

+ Forced login to use username in database. i.e. Test not test
