Hey,me again

I get this error when i try to get into the forum admin area through the nuke/cz admin menu.

Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: sql_db in /home/bettyf/public_html/db/db.php on line 86

This is how line 86 looks.

$db = new sql_db($dbhost, $dbuname, $dbpass, $dbname, false);

Any ideas guys

That error means your not connecting to the database. Did you edit the Forums/config.php ? You also might to look at some posts about the fortress and [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] I think i saw something about this error there.

Had no need to jump into forums/config,ill follow the link and let you know if i find anything.

go to your panel and make sure your mysql is still there most of the time you will have that message i just went to my site and got the same error and i went to my cpanel and my db is gone don't know how but it is gone now i don't know what to do. but here is some things that might help you out.

line 88 errors are ALWAYS problems connecting to the database

the troubleshooting process is as follows:
1. is mysql running?
2. is the user/password in config.php correct?
3. is the database name in config.php correct?
4. does the user in config.php have access to the database name in config.php?
5. is dbhost set to "localhost" or a valid mysql server with unrestricted access to port 3306?
6. are the $prefix and $user_prefix variables in config.php set to "nuke"?
7. is the $dbtype variable set to "MySQL"? -not mySQL, mysql, MYsql, MYSQL, my sql, or MySQL3.
8. if youve gotten this far and haven't fixed it repeat the whole process starting at step 1 again until it is fixed

had a good look around and couldn't find anything to help

Found a fix in here

forum error its called.Its down to the fact that the config file was moved.I put it back and all's well again

Thing is though it was one of the security fix's that prompted me to move it outside the root folder.

Any ideas wot ive done wrong?

I see you found my fix...LMAO. I did the same thing here, what version of Nuke you running? I had completely forgot that I moved mine until I tried to get into my forums admin.

im running cz-enhanced which i believe is 7.0 modded.

Its been doing my head in mate,ive been getting hacked everyday for a week now so ive tried (almost) every fix i can find,i knew one was messing with the other but i couldn't work out which
