Page Generations times....S L O W !!

Hi, my page generation times are poor now!

The index.php never gets below 5 seconds and is often at 17-24seconds! icon_cry.gif

The forums are very rarely above 1second, and the rest of the site is OK, but was faster. icon_redface.gif

What I'm asking is, is there anyway of speeding up the times, I've tried everything I can find including the KB on this site.

Is there anything on my site that is causing this, I had a scrolling link block that was causing this before but I deleted it and now the problem is back, most of my users are still on 56k, so it gets frustrating for them too icon_rolleyes.gif

I just went to your site and it took about 5 seconds to load up. I think it's because you have alot of content...graphics, etc. The more there is to load, the longer it takes. Sorry, I don't have any suggestions for speeding it up besides optimizing the database and having less content.

If you know how to port from bb to nuke, i suggest using this as i made it for my site & it helps find alot of things out. It will display debug info in your footer, very detailed i might add.

The latest block was the 'hot or not'

In expansion, a lot of my blocks have been playing up too! Had to remove the weather, cos it suddenly had a problem, now the daily babe doesn't want to work either, and the countdown looks strange with A.S. 39 in it for some reason? icon_rolleyes.gif
