Assuming the swf is'nt import protected, you will be able to import it into Flash and put an action at the point you want it to 'rewind'.

it doesnt have to be from a specific point. You know with those anoyin flash adds u get, u can just right click on them and click rewind.. it rewinds them to the beginning and then you would have to right click and press play to start them again. This flash animation was off the web, u cant edit it. The writing is annoying on it so I made it rewind so that it still has the bckgrnd flash goin without that annoyin writing, it looks so much better. I want to embed this flash and make it auto-rewind itself so it appears on my page without the annoying writing. It doesnt have to rewind at a certain point or action, just at the very start when it is embedded, but I dont know if its possible and I dont know how?

Here is an example, rewind the flash at the top and you can see how much better it looks without the writing: [ Register or login to view links on this board.]

It looks like the star effect is actionscripted and would take place at frame 1. I know of no embed command that will hold the move there. Maybe you could ask the creator of the movie for the fla?
