OK, i have phpBB 2.08 , not nuke, and when i try to use the upload avatar function in, the one ya click browse and select the file, when u click submit, it dont upload it and i get a huge error up the top:::

You need to CHMOD the folder they are uploading to, to greater than 644 i believe it is, 777 would surely do it...

Use an ftp program , i use WS_FTP Pro

in that, you select the file, right click click properties, and in the box enter 777, easy as that, i havent used other ftp progz before so i dont know how to on otheres icon_razz.gif

There's no reason to use anything but WS FTP PRO icon_mrgreen.gif It's simply the best, thanks it's fixed now!!
