Started getting this error on my boards. It's happened twice tonight, and knocks us out for 10 - 15 minutes.

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/i3rd-inf/public_html/includes/sql_layer.php on line 286

This is referenced at several places in sql_layer.php on different lines.

Sounds like the MYSQL ask your host if there is anything going on with it. Maybe your overloading it and its shutting down. They will know.

Im gettign this too everytime I go to admin preferences... it just started not sure if Its on other pages. Dan at Kewlio says nothing wrong between me and them

I was reading about this error, and the most likely cause is a misnamed table. I think right in nuke 7.2 and above, the references to nuke_faqAnswer and nuke_faqCategories changed to lower case 'a' and lowercase 'c'.

Find the 2 FAQ tables in the nuke database (nuke_faqanswer and nuke_faqcategories) and make sure the "C" in categories and the "A" in answers are capitalised.

ALTER TABLE `nuke_faqanswer` RENAME `nuke_faqAnswer`
ALTER TABLE `nuke_faqcategories` RENAME `nuke_faqCategories`

Actually faqanswer and faqAnswer are both in the database as well as the other, but exactly what would that have to do with admin preferences?

There is no call to either in the sql_layer.php

From what I read, it's not a fix, but it will at least help you determine further what's actually causing the error.

Thanks kelly, that is already in version 7.3... but I did find the answer.

I was just told on another site to look for this issue:

I found this in admin/modules/setting.php

That is the error NOT the fix. Yet I'm told the fix is the opposite.

I changed it back to PHP_SELF it works fine now.
