What have I done? I sure hope someone can help me figure it out.

A while ago I installed some software product that had a fucntion to block Flash from browsers. I set it to allow Flash in Firefox, but disallow it in IE. (I use IE for my main browser, and don't like not having choice over whether I get attacked by Flash files without good reason, but still wanted it on Firefox forthose times when I NEED access to Flash).

I thought it was one of my spyware protectors that had the flash-killing option (Spybot and ad-aware) but it seems not. Now I can't find out what product it was/is so I can uninstall it, because I want access to Flash in IE.

Does anyone know any products that do this? I really don't fancy a full reinstall of windows.

I've googled my brains out looking for possible clues and found absolutely nothing except a popup blocker, which I don't have (I have Google toolbar for popup blocking).

Geez you know there has to be millions of programs out there that will block flash. I did find this for you though, maybe it will help.

A friend did find me a little software gadet but a reg fix seems like a much better solution.
I'll see how it goes.

Don't know if I'll ever figure out what the software was that blocked them in the first place. But it probably doesn't matter too much really. Thanks again

Can you tell us for future refference, Did you use the stand alone installer or did you edit the registry manually?

I did the registry edit. Actually I downloaded the standalone installer and ran that, then checked the registry and the value was still there, so I deleted it as per the instructions.
