what code do i need to add/change in order for site members to see Private [Hidden] forums that they have permission to view in the Forum Block?

I tried to think of an answer for your question for a while, but I dont think that it was clear enough to know exactly what you mean. There are many different permissions in the forum alone, and once you consider added group, and individual permissions, well your question could mean anything.

Sorry if I offend...I just feel that maybe people don't understand what you need to know specifically.

i will try to elaborate...

i have permissions set just fine in the forums themselves...only certain people can see certain posts (this is attained mainly by adding Group Permissions, but also some Individual User Permissions)...

what i am wanting is a way to code the scrolling forums block on the home page of my website so that members can see ALL posts in the block that they have permission to access...not just those that are considered 'public' threads

does this help anyone help me?!?

Yes it helps. I saw this block someplace just this week...It checks permissions before allowing people to see the forum post on the block
hmm.. I can't remember where tho. maybe nuke scripts...let me check my browser history and I will get back to you this weekend on this. Sorry to take so long but I've been busy. I'll see what I can do soon tho.

i appreciate the help...i've been searching for a block like that for a while...

i was a member of a postNuke site and it used the right scripting...but you can't put postNuke on a phpNuke site...
