I have a member of our group who has left. I removed him from a moderators group so he is just a regular forum visitor. This person can still see private forums he was able to when he was a mod, but now he shouldn't have access.

Is this a cookie problem?

He is still a mod in the History forums, but the Historians is the only group he belongs to.

Running Nuke 7.3

Anybody know why this is? This guy shouldn't still see the Private forums, but he still does. I double checked and he has no mod permissions.

he doesn't have mod permissions for that forum however, he is STILL a mod of another forum correct?

that still allows all the users belonging or having a mod status to view those forums.

see what's happaening is your putting these mods in a generla category by adding them to a group. the group name being moderators. if all your forums have the group moderators to see those forums, then HE too will be allowed to see that forum considering he is still in the group called moderators.

I think I follow you but let me "splain" further. This guy was one of our Officers so he was in the Officers group who pretty much had access t oeverything and was a mod on all forums. I have an NCO group that can only see and mod certian forums and a Enlisted group that can see less forums than that. The Officer was also a member of the Historians who moderate the History forums. I removed this guy from the Officers group, but your telling me he still has access to everything cause he belongs to the History group who can only moderate the History Forums.

This is bizarre.

first question...in the forums acp>user management> ... do you still have him listed as a mod for the Historians? or does it just say he is a moderator in general?

I have ot ask these questions so we can try and pin down where the glitchy might be and btw....very slick theme ya got there

Well I found the problem. His user permissions where all set to ON. I wonder if this was a glitch since I only set up my permissions using groups.
