I have the news scroll block which looks great as of now it shows only the Title of the News. Is there a way I can have it show the Story text as well? Plus how do I shut off the modules for the orginal news as of now I have it show the scroll and a bunch of news at the bottom of it.

if News is set to home, it will always show in your page. If you don't want that as your "home" set another to replace it

where do I do the setting?

I did this and the news article still will not disappear from my homepage. I'm using phpnuke 7.0

is this a fresh install of Nuke 7.0?

normally, in the admin cp>modules you can remove the news as your "home" module and choose another to take it's place

This is a fresh install when I go to the Add Story section I get the optons listed below:

Category [ Add | Edit | Delete ]
Publish in Home? Yes No [ Only works if Articles category isn't selected ]
Activate Comments for this Story? Yes No
Do you want to program this story? Yes No

---

For the Category I had it set to default which is (Articles)
For Publish in Home I sect (No)
For Program this story I select (NO & YES) no differences.

I even delete all the stories and add them back same issue.

that's only if you want to add a story...

go to admin cp>modules then choose another module as the "HOME" module so that the NEWS or stories won't show up on your main page

Your suggestion works great thanks. Got a few more questions listed below.

1) I do not have any other modules that will fit with my home page is there a way I can do this? Maybe have a module that will fake it out that it's on the home page?

2) For the text that shows up in the scroll area. How do I add to allow it to show the Story Text (Brief summary), Topic icon and date of the news.

3) Same request as Number 2 but the score: next to Reads.

I really appreciate this. Now I need coppermine to work and my site would be up and running.

1. I havent heard or seen any others that can "fake" it.

2. Scroll area? can you be more specific as to which area you are referring to? Are you speaking of the Story box?
