Hi,

I installed the attachment mod and have a very odd problem. Pictures show up, they download, audio and video play, but documents are doing weird things.

A user uploaded a pdf file, but when I click to download it, the file name is "modules.php"

Wait, it gets better, I can download the modules.php file, change the extension to pdf and then it works fine as an acrobat file.

Click [ Register or login to view links on this board.] and scroll down to the bottom to find the pdf file...click the link...and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Has anyone experienced this before?

I haven't seen the code for the Attachment mod, so don't shoot me if I'm totally off-base here. The first thought that popped into my mind when I read your post is - Have you checked to make sure the .pdf filetype is enabled?

Like I said, I haven't seen the specific code, so it may be enabled by default, but if it isn't, then this might point you in the right direction.

Hey Kelly, thanks for the reply. Yeah, pdf is enabled. I enabled everything and a few file types just are weird like that. Word (*.doc) files do the same thing. As a temp fix, I'm just going to only allow streaming media and archive files, since they both work.

I'll welcome more ideas though.

If I have some time, I'll download the mod and take a look around. Can't promise anything though. I'll post back if I find anything.
