Just want some suggestion of a domain, im going to open a site that is a bit like yahoo but much smaller et cetc... going to have:

Games
Chat
Forums
Music

You know the rest huh? Things that most people like
And i was wondering if any of you guys to think up some cool domains that people would think, oh that sounds good i'l check it out

Seriously though, you need a name which perhaps incorporates a few of them, perhaps something unique (like google, whats that got to do with searching?) Or, you could try doing what i did with static-games, get a dictionary ruffle through it a bit then randomly pick a page, see if theres any words you like, then choose it.

you know my php-lair site, i got the lair part by typing in at thesaurus.com cave, and it came through with lair

That's fine. Just keep in mind that it's very difficult for people to get help if they have to wade through pages of BS posts. It's also difficult for the people trying to help them if they have to wade through the same posts. BS posts, as a normal rule, get deleted.

Posting contest? Not that i know off, i apologise if my posts have been spamlike, i didn't intent it in that way if they were.

My suggestion is to try and choose a common "keyword" that is used in search engines. That way anytime your page is opened by people it shows that keyword being very active on your site.

ya, i tried searching for elite-something.com a lot of sites are called elite-someone / something, but most thigns are taken so i scrapped that and are now going to use my old domain
