I have just been made aware of a new problem. All new users cannot upload avatars from their PC. Also the blank.gif avatar

is no longer showing up when they make their first post in the forum.

My settings are:

Avatar Storage Path : modules/Forums/images/avatars (all of my avatars are in here)

Avatar Gallery Path: modules/Forums/images/avatars

If you look at the forum postings, the new users don't even have a broken image icon...nothing....

You have to chmod the avatar directory to 777 for users to upload their own avatars. The blank.gif appears to be working...that's what it is, blank. Unless of course you changed the blank.gif image other than default.

Ok, thanks. It would appear that users can now upload their avatars and they can view tha gallery again.

Unfortunately - the problem is that new members are still not showing an avatar automatically (unless they pick one from the gallery or upload one). The blank.gif isn't being auto allocated to each new member.
