Go to admin.php, Click on the Forums link.

Under General Admin click on the Configuration link

Under the "User and Forum Basic Settings" look for "Allowed HTML tags Separate tags with commas"

Okay. I did it. The HTML works, except the <a href> link. What tag would I add in the allowed HTML tags for the href stuff?

Did you try the change to the includes/bbcode.php I mentioned in the previous post. If your forum version is 2.0.8 or later, you will need to change that line of code for a callup to a php file in the signature will work.

the coders of phpbb removed the php option in the later versions due to the possibility of someone adding a malicious php code into the forums, so you will have to re-add the php option before it will display in the forum signatures. After making the changes, you should then be able to use the bbcode instead of the html code as you originally posted.

Just remember to BACK UP anything you are going to change BEFORE you change it.

will this mod work on phpnuke v 7.2?
I have both files uploaded to the root
and my signature field has:

[url=http://www.mysite.com/] [img]http://www.mysite.com/signature.php[/img] [/url]

in it. However when viewing a topic or post that I have made only this shows as my signature:

[img]http://www.mysite.com/signature.php[/img]

again site is built upon phpnuke 7.2

Will the mod work with my setup or can it be made to work with it? If so how do I do this?
