membership module problem

Ok I uploaded all the files to the respective directories and added the sql but I copy and paste the lang-english php and put it at the bottom before the function translate and I get this message when i go to my website,

Parse error: parse error, unexpected '<' in /home/sofcodc/public_html/language/lang-english.php on line 201

The website doesnt even work lol.I have to uninstall the lang english and then reinstall it fresh.I am running 7.4 nuke what the heck am I doing wrong here?

Looks like you made a mistake when copying and pasting. Look at lang-english.php at line 201. See if you can see an extra < symbol in there. If you can't find it, zip up the page and attach it here and I'll look through it for you.
