Hello All

I currently run [ Register or login to view links on this board.] , and have discovered a very serious problem.

I am runnign php-nuke 7.4, with phpbb2.10, calendar and attachment mods.

Server is dedicated Linux (Fedora Core 2, got latest 2.6.8 and 2.6.7 kernels),niether kernel makes any difference to the problem, and I have a 1Gbit conenction to it, so there is no connection lag.

Running MySQL 3.23.58, PHP 4.3.8, with ZLIB (compression) and PHP Accelerator (caching)

If caching and compression is turned on/off the problem still persists.

IF bbcode, html, signatures, avatars are turned on/off the problem still persists.

Time for the problem :

Certain topics in the forum will fail to load in IE, mozilla. IF Opera is used the topics will load and eventually after +/- 6 mins they will load.

Other topics will load just fine.

I couldn't get either of the links above to load. After a few mins, I went to the main page of your site. Even after about 10 mins, the whole page had not loaded. So, you definitely have a problem somewhere. I don't think it's a problem with certain topics, but the whole site. It looks like you've already done a lot of checking, but I'd say you need to go back to your server to find the problem.

The reason for that is the server is located in South Africa, and due to use having a telecom monopoly, the server does not have access to international bandwidth.

For local users, the ping is 10ms

I assume no one has any advice ?

I tried nuke 7.5 and made ZERO difference

I suspect the problem lies some where in this file

Remove this mod:

Do you know anyother useless stuff like that, that can be removed ?

Whatever you don't use or is useless just remove it. Or move it all to thier profile page that way people can still get through your forums with out a bad lag.
