Just a question.. whats the point of making a league if you have no players?
There are already hundrereds of leagues out there, and even established ones can find it difficult to keep going. It might be a better idea to join an established league rather than creating one and hoping people will just drift by and join.

try this i am a new league who dosent know the compleate ropes and i cant find much rooms that have no admins in it. If i do find a room it is a room that does not Ever have aany players. So again, the same Question comes up. How can i get members?

Same answer. There are far more leagues than rooms already. It's almost impossible to find a room that has no league there already, especially in Yahoo or Pogo.

One solution may be not to use Yahoo or Pogo. Gamedesire.com has a pretty cool pool game, (if thats what you play) and you can request a room for your league there.

I don't know if it applies to Yahoo and pogo, but recently a Jippii Pool league called Pro9ball managed to get a large amount of support because it was different. The bulk of Jippii Pool leagues are all 8 ball so it was a change. They had 100 players within a few weeks and are now on the Jippii games room page so they have advertising there as well.

If you still want to do if how you're doing i'd try and get to know a few people on other leagues first. Get yourself a little more known for playing or TDing. Then try and IM your friends and ask if they want to join you; it's a lot easier if you have 5 or so of you at the start than one person trying to spread the word about a new league.

Just so you know, this is highly frowned upon on Cases ladders. To deliberately join other leagues with the intention of recruiting members is distinctly forbidden and could get your league deleted faster than you can say 8ball.

From Cases' Terms of Service:

Solicitation of Members
Direct solicitation of members from active leagues is highly discouraged. Leagues should branch out to new rooms and recruit new members.

Solicitation of members by going into the lobbies of established leagues and recruiting, including but not limited to setting up tables and inviting members to join them, is unacceptable.

If you are leaving one MyLeague in order to start your own league for the same game, and using the same League format, at no time may you solicit the members of your former league---via E-mail, private messaging service, or any other form of communication in an attempt to get them to join your league without first obtaining permission from the Head Admin of your former League to do so.

Bad advice in my opinion.

Your best bet is to go to The Gaming Room Forums in your league Admin. That's the best place to see if you can find a league willing to share a room.

Note: (You and half a zillion other peeps who won't listen to the advice of those of us who have been through it already! )

Sorry Kelly, i didn't mean like intentionally join the league JUST to get people. It was more of a join the league to get experience and then if you still think it's worth the effort give it shot. Anyway, you might end up liking that league and stay with it.
