Im trying to learn to design flash sites that are one image that slide right and left(www.mychemicalromance.com/flashsite.php). I have experience in flash, but this one is new to me. My Main issue is how to set up the Actionscript with the buttons because i dont know how to make the image go left and right on demand. If you dont quite understand what im talking about it would be best to view the site listed above as a perfect example. Help who ever is out there. thanx

The movement from left to right is call tween:
Here is how it works.
1. Find the layer and frame that your image is on. Let's say its on layer 1 frame 1
2. One layer 1 select frame 20 and place a keyframe on it. Use the subselect arrow tool
3. next move the image to where you want it. (you should have a gray out area from frame 1 to 20 with a clear dot.
4. now click somewhere in that frame lets say frame 19. (frame 19 should be selected
5. in the Properties menu bar look for Tween; Select motion. (now you should see an line with an arrow point towards frame 20).
6 test it to see if it works.

Note each image that you want to move will need its own layer.

Well thank you for the reply, but i know how to make a tween. I would suggest looking at the example i sent (www.mychemicalromance.com/flashsite.php) i think then you would have a better understanding of my issue. look at the navigatoin and how the image will move left or right depending apon where you are on the site.

Just wanted to note what a cool site! Would be interested in viewing yours when you complete it. Have you tried searching online tutorials?

It looks to me like the button actions just scroll the page left and right. It's a huge page horizontally, and just a portion of it can be seen at any one time. The button actions must change depending on which part of the page you're looking at.
