Ok to you guys this is going to sound so dumb.
I recently got a new site amd I have always used HTML for everything.
So I figure it is time for me to upgrade and start using php.
I downloaded the "Blackened" theme and I am trying to set it up on my site,

My website is [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] if this helps. (as you can see i failed miserably)

I have never used PHP before now. Can someone tell me how to make this theme work?
Like what directory to put what and what goes where and such...
And how do I modify it etc etc...

All help will be greatly appreciated
Thanks , Proxy

Hi and welcome to CZ, I will explain this as I would to someone new to uploading a theme for the very first time and are not familiar with the directory structure. First unzip, then you will see: Blackened-Pack themepack. Open it. Now you see: html. Open html and you will see: blocks,extras and themes. Open the themes directory and you will see a folder named: Blackened. Upload that whole thing (folder and all) into your themes directory in your Nuke site. Open the blocks folder and upload the: block-Blackened-Forums file into your Nukes blocks folder (in the root) this can be used for a center forum block if you like and is activated in your Admin CP in the blocks section. The "extras" folder contains extras, lol. Quote from the readme:

The "Blackened Extra" folder contains some items you can use in place of the stock Nuke graphics. BACK UP the originals before using them!!
web.gif replaces the web links logo. modules/Web_Links/images/
down-logo.gif replaces the downloads logo. modules/Downloads/images/

If all else fails...read the manual:

Oh...sorry I thought you had Nuke installed already from the link you provided. This will probably be the best bet for you:

Ok I'm reading and it says to open whatever nuke you downloaded, opem the HTML folder and put everything from there in the directory.

Now, do i just move EVERYTHING to my directory? like drag and drop all folders and all?

And, what directory do i move it all to? My public_html directory?

Thanks, Proxy

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'db/db.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/ytech/public_html/mainfile.php on line 107

include("themes/$ThemeSel/theme.php");

In my header.php file where it says $ThemeSel do i have to manually go in and edit them all to the theme that I want to use?

And...

include("language/lang-".$language.".php");

In my mainfile.php where it says $language do i have to manually go in and edit them all to the language im using?

Seems to me that there is an easier way to do this, I've checked my CPanel for ways but I couldn't find any way. Also i know there is a place somewhere to let you turn on a block or module.. where can I do that at?

Dont edit any of the files, next thing you have to do is install the SQL.

Go to your cpanel... click mysql, and create a new database, then click the ink down the bottom of the page and click the phpMyAdmin Link, then select your database from the left on the little menu... then go the tab on the right of the page that says sql... then when that loads click browse in next to the little box, and select nuke.sql from the sql folder in the phpnuke package you have (or somewhere in the package im not entirely sure).

When that is done you will need to edit your config.php
