I have signed up for a basic paypal account and their FAQ section is rather unclear to me LOL

What I want is to use it primarily so people can send donations for my hosting etc (as seen
on many sites, including here). But what I am unsure of, is....

A. Is the basic account adequate enough ? If not, what should I do ?
B. Do you get something like a bank account number, so folks know who to pay ?

Am sure their are many more questions I could ask, but cannot think of them now LMAO

Unless you're going to need to be able to accept credit card payments, a basic account should be enough. You might want to check out their section on Donation buttons.

Your account is signified by your email address. It's not an actual bank account, it's more like a holding account. When people pay you, the "money" sits in your account until you either withdraw it to your regular bank account, or use it to make online payments.

I have checked the Help section and it isn't very clear as to whether a normal basic
account is sufficient for donations. So, I have now sent them an email with this query.

I am surprised that this hasn't been asked before.
