Problem with forums and words with appostrophies

I am running a fresh install of PHPNuke 7.5. With the PHPBB that is included, I have encountered strange problem. WHenever anyone creates a post in the forums or PM's someone, and the messahe has an appostrophy in it, example: I'd - I'm

I get a 1064 error. The error always begins with the ' and whatever follows. This is the error you will get:

SQL Error : 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'd rather not point it out.')' at line 1

INSERT INTO nuke_bbposts_text (post_id, post_subject, bbcode_uid, post_text) VALUES ('27', 'Test', '2ae237c01c', 'This is a tes of the problem we are having. I'd rather not point it out.')

Notice the error begins with the '. How do I correct this as it is causing all sorts of problems.

Still get the same problem. It seams to think that from the apostrophy on is code of some sort and errors out as it doesn't know what it is.

What type of database are you using? What is the language of the site?

OK, it is a mysql db running version 4.0.23.

PHP is version 4.3.10

Site is using PHPNuke 7.5.

Ok is there a language for the site? Im thinking maybe the charset.

Is it possible that it is on my hosts side? Maybe a problem with the SQL on the host servers? I am going through godaddy as my host.

No if you can't figure out just open the viewtopic.php and add a stripslashes() to the $message variable.
