I just received a complaint from one of my users that there was an adult pop up right on the main page of my web site. I have never seen this pop up nor do I use pop up's other than the "notify me of PM " pop up option in the user profiles. I am using Php nuke 7.3

Children use this site and it is important for me to find a solution if in fact my site is the source of the problem. Is it possible to put popups on other people's web sites?

Also, one more complaint from another user. She has an e-mail address forwarded thru my site. She has complained of getting too much junk mail with that address. I don't think there is much that I can do short of deleting the e-mail forwarder. Any thoughts?

I do not have a free host. But, isn't it possible for the popup to be from the user end?

You will want to look at the header of your page. See if there is any additional code there. Usually it is added to the index.php or the header.php.

Just go to the index of your site and do a view => source in your browser and look for a popup script. I had a popup added to one of my nuke sites a couple of years back, but haven't had that happen in quite a while.

You may want to recheck your file permissions also. If you still can't find anything, try clearing all your cookies and files and reloading the page to see if you get a popup. If you don't, chances are it is on the viewer's end.

I recently installed a chat module and it included an adult popup ad in the code. FYI something to check if you recently added chat.
