I am currently using the CZ-Blackened theme and looking in the header.php file I can see
that the coding for the flash navbar is there, but it doesn't show on my site... [ Register or login to view links on this board.]

Any ideas on how to get it running ????

Just by chance are you using FireFox as your browser?, I used to use Blackened and noticed that the flash nav bars dont show in FireFox where they do in IE or others,
I dont know how to fix this in FireFox , but I know that it does behave that way.

I guess that its just one thing(and about the only thing i've found) that FireFox doesn't do right!!!

Yeah I do use Firefox. The thing is that other Flash navs, headers etc on other themes
work with no problems with Firefox. But for some reason, this one won't.

Does Telli have a suggestion, I wonder ????

As much as I welcome replies, your post doesn't help my problem !!

FYI, Mozilla Firefox kicks derrière over IE. Not just that but it is much more secure !!

Well it might be more secure, but if it don't work, it's not much use is it? Anyway, the answer to your problem is, use IE.

Mozilla's Firefox is approx 98% compatible with all websites now.

Changing back to IE is not an option... Firefox is here to stay !!!

Just ignore him, he's braindead. icon_rolleyes.gif

The Flash menu in the Blackened Theme was made at Flashbuttons.com. I have a sneaky suspicion that the code as it's generated by Flashbuttons needs some work. I went to their website to see if they had a FAQ about it and this is as close as I could come:

Why my menu doesn't show up in NETSCAPE ?
If you look carefully at the HTML tag, you will see there is an OBJECT and a EMBED section. The OBJECT one is for Internet Explorer, the EMBED one is for Netscape. Make sure the EMBED part of your HTML tag is well configured.

Try this:
<object ID="SWFLASH"
classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
codebase="http://active.macromedia.com/flash/cabs/swflash.cab"
STYLE="POSITION: absolute; HEIGHT:22;WIDTH:598;TOP:5;RIGHT:15; MARGIN-LEFT:0px;VISIBILITY:VISIBLE; ZINDEX:1"
width="640" height="24">
<param name="movie" value="themes/Blackened/images/navbar.swf">
<param name="play" value="true">
<param name="loop" value="true">
<param name="wmode" value="transparent">
<embed src="themes/Blackened/images/navbar.swf" menu="false" quality="high" scale="exactfit" wmode="transparent" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="640" height="24" name="movie" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />
</OBJECT>
