I use Photoshop CS2.

About the best way to learn is to do some tutorials. You will find lots of them if you Google "Paint Shop Pro tutorials".

The GIMP has been around for a long time. I've never used it, so I really can't give you any information about it. I'm sure there are tutorials out there for GIMP too if you Google it.

Quite. Full version is $599. Upgrade is $149 if you have a licensed version of Photoshop CS or Photoshop 7 or earlier.

Thing is, besides the steep price, Photoshop has quite a steep learning curve. If you're just starting out in graphics, you're better off using PSP or theGimp. The user interface in PSP is much more user-friendly and better suited for beginners.

I started out in PSP 5 (all those years ago). When I started working for a company that only used Photoshop 4, I had no choice but to learn it. I've stuck with Photoshop ever since.

wowza! lol i like psp but the things i see you make...i don't know how to in psp

I just wanted to know what you use just because everything i have seen you make...looks really cool...i want to do that i just don't know how to (like i said) ex: yours looks new and glossy...mine doesn't come out that way in psp.
