Well I did not know where to go with this since I am new in the PHP community so here it is,

I have a BIG web hosting issue!!! I went to the site today and it was down! icon_mad.gif icon_mad.gif . Everything is down, email, cpanel...everything.... icon_mad.gif I can not get in touch with the admin, His e-mail and contact info was thru his hosting.... icon_mad.gif Next issue is I have a sub-domain attached to my site for a buddy.. icon_mad.gif

I backed up my data only about 3 weeks ago so i have my site backup and database backup! icon_wink.gif Most of it anyway!

Now I need a new web host.. (perfer free but I cant be choosy at this time) I am willing to set up on my PC in the mean time but I do not know how to do so and I do not know if my provder has blocked that port or not.

I need some help-QUICK! Where can I go for a site or info on 1! I had 500mb of webspace before, so something close would be good.

THANKS and HELP!!!

Have you checked out Codezhost? Alot of people who participate in the the CZ community use Telli's hosting service as well.

While Codezhost isn't free, sounds like all you would need at this point is the basic plan. Check it out here:

I used Codezwiz for about 2months and I never had a problem what so ever, it is very simple to use and if you need any help with anything they are buttons click away, and they respond within an a couple of hours.

I only left them because the site I was setting up, the web designer has his own hosting site, so I just went through him for the same price I was paying Telli which is $3.99 per month which is very cheap.

But try these Ive listed below just to have a look about; [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] [ Register or login to view links on this board. ]

You should be able to move your backup files into the codezhost site as its very easy to do.

Good choice by the way, they wont let you down.

Good luck, with moving your site over.

Here is what I got back from them,

We use Ensim for our Control Panel so any of your backups would be no good on our servers.

Is this because I was using cpanel or something? Not sure why, help on this comment anyone???

It means that your bundled backups from cpanel will not work if you want to move your site. Your best bet is a hard backup and move meaning you vbackup all files through ftp and phpmyadmin..

All I have is my backups, including a full site backup. The site went down hard with no possibility getting back to it. Do I have to rebuild from scratch or can I upload the full site backup and just rebuild the database or something along that line.

I guess my biggest question is how do i get the site up and running again, what ever the answer is?

Sorry for the lack of knowledge I have in this part, I had someone else primarily doing the backend setup for me before. once I got the site up and running I was just adding and removing themes, mods, blocks and such. I did go into the "myphpadmin" as-well via cpanel ( I think )

FYI,
I was running php nuke 7.5/7.6 ( have to check to see exactly which one ).
