For quite some time now, the offending site has incessantly stolen original codes and not only that, it also advocates the stealing of other peoples graphics and codes from all over the net. They have been notified time and again but to no avail.

As you all should know, anything that is published on the net is automatically covered by copyright laws. Without the express written consent of the creator, you are violating those laws when you add them to your own collection.

Here are screenshots of what I am talking about:

1. This first one will show where they claim that they "got the codes from all over" and what's worse is, on the same page, they advocate others to ask for permission when using other's peoples graphics or codes and yet, they don't practice what they preach!

2. Now compare these boxes to the original ones done by Telli. Make note, back in Novemeber 2004, a post was made in the admin forums asking about how to make these boxes work, they answered that post and said "hmmm I've never seen that kind of a box before" and yet, a few months after, we find it on their site!!!!!!!!

3. Here now we find the stats form. When their site first opened, they had Telli's League name above that stats form box. Their "working sample" wasn't even working at all! After they were informed about their ripping ways, they immediately changed the league name to their league's name even though the "working sample" still wasn't working! Know why? cause they didn't understand the code and how to get it to work! See how it still has the same background color in that stats box....

Shame on them....and they won't even give credit on the page where they got the code and what's even worse is they have the temerity to speak against us! I could go on and on and on....but...you be the judge.

OMG !!! ty ty ty for this vital info lol, I have tried to use these codes from them to find out I couldn't! When it came to doing a quick stats form for a page I was totally lost and could not get it to work un til I went to Admins 101 and was able to. How pitiful can someone be to steal what is not yours.

Is there something that can be done to stop this? New admins don't know better as to what is real or what is a copy.

unfortunately, bringing people like this to justice will require a hefty financial bank account and until that happens, all we can do is let as much people know about the dirty deed/s and hopefully enough people will take notice, spread the word and boycott sites such as those.

I've visited that site many times, and never realised that they had ripped stuff from admins101. I've never actually used anything from them, as I always get what I need from here and A101. If you are going to get it, you might as well get it from the best.

I don't think I'll be visiting that place again in a hurry, and I won't be passing their info on to anyone asking for league help.

I know first hand what it's like to have someone steal your work and pass it off as their own, I had someone steal some designs I made ages ago, and start to claim that they were their own work. I found out purely by accident that they were doing this, and when I did, it felt like I'd swallowed a brick. I even contacted the person doing it and said that if he wanted to put my stuff on his site, he only needed ask and I'd probably accepted. The lowlife piece of scum never replied, but carried on passing my stuff off as his.

WoW i will not be using their site at all anymore i will remove them from my bookmarks right away thanks alot for the heads up.

Ty for the heads up Taut. I actually only use TD 101 or Admins 101 and another site that I can't remember the name but I know its one of yall.. Name is Code something but can't remeber or find it anymore.

and their at it again! these people never cease to amaze me as to how low they will go just to let people THINK they actually know what they are doing! They come here, steal the codes posted in our forums, post it on their site and make it sound like they created them!

heck over 90% of their codes that they have were all stolen from us! guess they just can't read our TOS and they don't know what copyright is! go figure

LMAO Get real there is no such things as copyrighting html codes. If that is so you must be calling Microsft frontpage and nvu and all other html programs that generate these same codes. So might want to really look at the copyright laws. Cause you will be surprise whatyou can get for filing falase charges and making accusations places that is not your bussiness. There is something called slander.
