I would like to know how to get a certain image to show up on the main page when I submit news like on this site here: [ Register or login to view links on this board. ]

Also, I have added a affilates block to my clan site, but for some strange reason when I click on to a link/mini banner in the block, it will not take me to that site. Here is the code I am using for that affilitates/PiN Spnonsers block on the lieft side of my clan site.

Your link codes should read something like this:

"<a href=\"http://www.yoursite.com\" target=\"_blank\"><img src=\"http://www.yourimg.jpg\" alt=\"myimg\">My Image Name</a>"

Do you see how they have the "Battlefeild2" images next to where they posted on those center blocks. How did they do that? I am not sure where to upload my impage so I can do something simiiar to what they have on that site.

Register

just make,find the image you wanna be there
put that image to images/topics folder
go to your admin panel / topics
find your image in drop down , name it
when publishing a news for site chose that name from ( admin panel/news)
so that image will appear near your news

They have done those with a news post. They probably made a new topic (bf2), in the topic area of the admin then designated the topic image they wanted to display.
You upload the images into your images/topics area on your [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] This is where I have mine anyway.

An example
[ Register or login to view links on this board. ] - is where I uploaded my image. I then created a topic in the topic area of the admin and had the settings as such

Add new topic

Topic Name:
Video Productions
(just a name without spaces - max: 20 characters)
(for example: gamesandhobbies)

Topic Text:
� R�� Raging Rebels Video Productions
(the full topic text or description - max: 40 characters)
(for example: Games and Hobbies)

Topic Image:
r2vidproductions.jpg - this should be a scrollable menu that shows any images you have uploaded to that area

Unless I select "New Story" from administratiion block the right side block won't show. I used the "New Story" from the admin blk/module on the top left, but I still cannot get my image to show up. I uploaded the image to the images/news . I am still getting a red x though.

seems u didnt upload the image to your host server or didnt chose it adminpanel/topics

your image link looks lik this

also before post any news make sure you chose the topic image from drop down menu called topic ( the one under the title area when typing ure news )
then preview your mesage before post it you will see the topic image there
