Perhaps someone at this site might shed some light on this for me and perhaps recommend a mod? I have found bits and pieces on this forum but wonder if this request has been packaged in a mod?

I want to be able to restrict a REGISTERED MEMBER's access to the Downloads Module in PlatinumNuke based on the POINTS they accumulate on the site via the points system in the User Group module or at least based on a number of POSTS in the Forums.

Intuitively I would expect to have been able to simply Create a group level based on points. Then in the Modules Admin select Registed Members and Group selecting the group assocated with the point level I set.

I find I can restrict Downloads to Registered Users only with no problem. Hoever when I attempt to apply a restriction to a Group based on point level it seems to be ignored.

Has anyone found an easy way to accomplish what I am trying to do? The criteria for accessing the Downloads module I would like to have would be the following:

1. User must be a Registered Member
2. User must have accumulated X (configurable) points from interacting on the site like posting news articles, responding to polls, posting on Forums, etc...
3. When their point level reaches a certain level > or = X, they would now have access to the Downloads Module.

I would have expected this to be something as a basic feature in the PHP Nuke 7.5 portal. It may be I still need a mod or a patch ?? Does someone have this type of user control actually working? Or might know of a patch or mod to get the same effect

I havnt heard of anything like that but it should be too hard to achieve. You just need to check there points or posts against an amount you set for the downloads. Maybe add that field into the downloads table and modify the downloads admin to include it.
