I have 2 different php sites and i'd like to use only one forum. When I try to create a new module linking it to the other sites forums, I get a message saying I can not do that?

Is there a way I can achive this by createing a module to where the same forums appears within both sites?

Are you trying to link the two sites to one forum? If so try this: [ Register or login to view links on this board. ]

Thx for your reply. I tried your suggestion @ [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] . After 2 post and 2 days I still havent recieved a reply?

Im trying to link to the php forums on one of my sites without going thru the site itself. That way I can add a module so I can access one forum for 2 sites. Can this be done?

This is just a stab in the dark.....

Have you tried to edit your config.php in /modules/forums to point to the other sites mainfile? I dont know if that will even work, but hey, its worth a try, lol. Just remember to make a backup before you edit it icon_smile.gif

Have you tried an i-frame?

From what i got out of messing with the I-Frame, i was able to "link" a complete website within a website. This means that on the main page (yoursite.com) there is a block that has another site in it. The only thing i can think of for this is to disable your forums on one site, and use an I-Frame to link to the other, hence, only having 1 set of forums, even though it may look a little "wierd"

To see that im talking about, [ Register or login to view links on this board.] .

This is a backup of a site that i had to transfer a couple weeks ago.
