hello, i hope this is the place to ask this and if it is is i hope someone will be able to understand me and help.

i have downloaded and installed the charcoal2 theme and like the look. i have switched the logo.jpg that came with the theme with my own but my logo doesn't look right it does not "fill" the space correctly to look right. also there is aonther .jpg under it with an URL in it. i have figured out that the .jpg is call slogan.jpg.

what i am looking to do is:
1) remove the slogan.jpg completly
2)have my logo "fill" the space more which means i would like it to be a little bit wider so that it almost reaches the black curve near the log in/out button. and have it taller so that it takes up the space left by the removal of the slogan.jpg.

i know this involves editing the theme.php file (cause thats where i found the refrences to logo.jpg and slogan.jpg) but i know absolutly nothing about editing PHP (i barely know how to edit html).

can anyone help me at all??? i would greatly appreciate it!!!

thanks in advance
mike

You are right, you will need to edit function themeheader() in theme.php, beginning around line 193. I reworked this header for another member a while back and I have to warn you that it's a tough one to edit.

If you're wanting to change the logo size and get rid of the slogan area, you're going to have to rewrite the tables. But be aware, with the way the tables and background images are set up, if you are even a couple of pixels off, it throws everything out of whack.
