Hi guys, I want to do the following, anybody know how I can do ANY of these:

-- I do not wish to display certain topics in my topics list (e.g. [ Register or login to view links on this board.] products), how can I say to the script not to display certain ID numbers?
-- How do I connect to the DB from the homepage and insert ONLY the titles of last 3 news articles added to a specified topic? E.g. ONLY add titles (seperated by dashes) for Microsoft [ Register or login to view links on this board.] topic.
