Hm. Would the contents of robots.txt keep Google from crawling a website? I've submitted mine several times but still hasn't been added I suppose. I use GoogleTap and it works correctly throughout the site with no issues.

That sucks, so how would I 'test' my site to make sure it's accessable and ready for google should they decide to start crawling it?

this is what i use , after setting it up and verfiing your site in about a day it will check everything and tell you whats working / wrong and after about 3 weeks it will give percise data on keywords and what pages its crawled and any errors google bot has hit.

it will verfiy your robots.txt file and stuff and tell you if theres issues you can also submit sitemaps to show google were to browser on your site
