Look in your config.php!

$display_errors = FALSE;

ok update, i turned on the php error reporting and got a syntax error for line 45 which was an unexpected "". because the line was already using "" the qoutes you put in for it to work with php created a conflict so i changed the surrounding "" to ' ' which worked and the block showed up fine ( believe it or not i am actualy doing a degree in webdesign!)

but unfortunately it only says "There are no events for today" even if i add an event for that day. The code works when i load the php file on its own, but inside that block it doesnt function correctly.

but my question was just to ask how to get the block to display without messing up the site , and you guys have done enough already and helped me do that so thanks.

great site

take care
