I am working on adding content to my site [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] and i am using the download module to add links to category's, but it always asks for a url. how can i get it to take information from my computer rather than the internet. there does not seem to be a browse button. can this be added?

Start there, but if your an admin. You should find a similiar link in the downloads admin.

Basically you should upload the file to your server via ftp and then link the download to the that location when adding one.

Or whatever the file path is

i am not sure i understand your post. I have figured out how to add downloads, but all the downloads i have added so far are stored on the internet on our main site. but lets say that someone has made a file that would be good for their site, and that file is sitting on their desktop. how would you go about adding the file without there being a browse button on the page. it looks like the only way to add it now is with an [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] i need a browse button linked in so they can pull it off their desktop

You mean you need to add an option for to upload files to your server?

The regular Nuke Downloads does not come with that option but you could add it or you could search Google for an upload script and use that.
