Hi, I have done a search here and have also tried many scripts for creating snowfall effect (not snowflake). So far, unsuccessful. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Need a Snowfall Effect code for my forum site!! I have tried so many but none work!

Here is one I tried. Check out the demo. [ Register or login to view links on this board. ]

How do I combine the snow.js with the code? Where do I put them in my forum (Global header)?

Is there an even better code?

Thanks!! icon_smile.gif I think the Snowstorm file is same as here: [ Register or login to view links on this board. ]

I tried both Snowstorm files but the snow appears as grey squares instead of white round snow. Why is this so?

Where should I edit to remove snow collection at the bottom of the page?

I am using Firefox. But for IE, the script causes my site to hang.

Were it not for these problems, the script would be Perfect!!! Please advise.

Ok, I have put back the Snowstorm script to show what I mean. On Firefox which I am using, it shows the snow as small black squares instead of white round snow.

And, they collect at the bottom of the screen which I don't want.

Also, I would like the snow to continue falling as much as at the start (snowfall slows down after a while).

If you use IE to the site, the site would hang trying to load it.

The answer is in the .gif file used. If you open it up in an image editor you will find the answer to black part.

I believe that script was built to run on a darker background, but you can play with the gif and see what you come up with.

As far as the collection at the bottom, I honestly have no clue.

Mm...I tried looking for the .gif file in the script. But it's not there. Seems the script does not have an image file of the snowfall.

As for the collecting snow at the bottom of the screen, I changed "true" (snowcollect) to "false" (no collecting) but there was no effect.

Well, thanks for trying anyway icon_smile.gif
