hello again...
let me just give you a little background... i have installed php-nuke on 2 different pcs and everything has worked perfect, for the little problems i have had, you guys always give me a good fix for and the sites are running flawless. i am running one at work, from my pc for everyone to just post info and everyone likes it, the other one i was running a personal site from Dynds.com. both sites were running php-nuke 6.8 and xampp.

a few days ago, i decided to buy a domain, and have my own stuff in there.
i went with [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] and purchased it through [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] they are a dynamic dns service provider.
i am in a 4 computer network behind a linksys wireless, 3 regulars and 1 wireless, all computers have static ip and ip forwarding has been set up in the router.
i have a fresh install of windows 2000 pro (with all the updates), xampp, php-nuke 6.8 and the ip updater from no-ip.com. the ip updater is working fine, there is nothing to be configured and connects to no-ip.com and updates the ip from router to no-ip.com.
with xampp, running apache, sql and ip updater, from the webserver pc i can type [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] and site comes up with out a problem. from my other pc, my main pc, i can ping [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] and replies with the ip address from my rourter, so at least i know that is working, but if i type [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] i get page can not be displayed, no matter what i try.
so this is my problem, not sure what i need to do, i dont remember if i was running anything else than apache, sql and ip updater when i was running another site.

any ideas??/ your help is always greatly appreciated...
thanks and sorry for the long text.

I had the same problem with my router and it ended up being the port wasnt accesible. I could view it fine but when i tried on any other machine the page couldnt be displayed. I ended up calling the router manufactor and they walked me through opening the ports via the router configuration page. (usually the routers ip) I am not sure if this is your problem but It might be somewhere to start.
