So Myleague+ has been unveiled at last. I have to admit, I was eager to see exactly what it would consist of, but never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that it would cost upwards of $49 per month. Good luck to Cases I say. If they can find people who are willing to spend that much each month to play the same game in the same room, then they deserve every penny of it.

Our little league will stay as we are and put up with Cgi6, which no doubt will get pushed further to the back of the queue so that the support staff can cater to the elite +leagues.

I wouldnt know where to start with this newest venture. I can say I have lost alot of respect for Cases.

I cant see it staying at this price unless they have bill gates owning a few leagues lol

Yikes! can you imagine a Microsoft League?
1. Every time you get to a critical point in a tourney, it would restart for no apparent reason.
2. You'd have to use Microsoft pool cues, but they're all crooked.
3. Every time you foul, you'd get an illegal operation.
4. The tourney would run with 'Microsoft minutes', you know, the ones that they use when you're installing Windoze, and would therefore last 4 days.

Thats cool, but my worry is that members will find that donating gets old pretty quick. What happens then?
And what about the members who can't afford to donate? Are we going to have 2 tiers of members, where some pay and some dont? And what about new members, are they going to be asked to pay as soon as they join?

The whole thing just flies in the face of what these leagues have always been about - free games, free membership and anyone can join.
Yes, I know its just an option for those who need it, but my concern is that the existance of it will draw the limited resources from maintaining what we already have, thereby lowering the overall level.

One thing they need to think about is this, a ladder system isn't all that difficult to program, in fact I've seen some free ones already out there, and hosting costs a lot less than $49 per month...
