Simultanious keypress events help!!

Hi all

I have been given the task to make a 2 player game and have decided on creating a racing game. It will be split screen so 2 players play at the same time.

The problem i am having is that i have got players 1's set of buttons 2 work which is up, down, left and right arrow keys for player one, but i have no idea how to add other buttons (a=left, s=down, d=right and w=up) so they can be pressed simultatiously with the arrow keys so two player can play at the same time!!

can anyone direct me to a useful turorial?

your help wil be very much appriciated,
