ok im a newbie. i have just installed phpnuke and have been messing with it, tryin to make a clan site. my clan already has phpbb forums so i dont wanna use the ones that came with phpnuke , my question is - how do i link my forums to the phpnuke site under the modules menu without creating a new block, i can do it in other blocks but cant seem to figure out how to just add a simple link in the modules block - pls help

srry to post again but i have another question ... on the news part of the site where the phpnuke.gif image is suppose to sow up, it doesnt the red x doesnt even link to a picture

You can do this in some ways

1- you can convert your phpbb forum to work with php nuke module .For tdo this there is a mod called BBtonuke ,you can check it from downloads of [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] ( find the correct version for your forums)

2-You can use a custom modules block called Sommaire which you can add external links,custom links,modules etc. You can see it workin at my site as main menu and if you like it you can download from [ Register or login to view links on this board. ]

with this you can call your forum for example yoursite.com/phpbb2/index.php or if you convert it already you can call it as forums

as for the topic images

create em and put under images/topics folder
go admin panel/topics chose a topic name for it and chose the image from drop down
now when you write a new, news for your site that topic name and image will be there for you to chose

only one question - on the news part, i did the topic thing like you said but maybe we aren't talking about the same thing.. i mean i was talkin bout the picture that shows up wen u use the News section in the admin panel instead of topics .. sorry i may have just misread what you posted, if not could you please help me again?

i will try to explain again

first you must create/find topic images for example; clan news.
you will put that image to topics folder
now when you wanna post a news about your clan simly go to your news section of admin panel

there near Associated Topics you should see clan news in a box and if you chose it ,it will diseppear near your news story.

ok ... i really dont't mean to bug you , i apologize , but i installed that summaire thing and i added links and stuff, well on the weblinks module it always says ''new'' beside it, even wen i have it turned off .. ive even remade the menu and it still does it anywhere i add it .. do you know how to remove the 'new' tag without removing weblinks module?

Did you turned showing new option off generally ? from General Options menu at the end of categories where says Automatic detection of news (New for..days) or just from the category where you link to weblinks module ?

see my settings at the attachment which i manually chose to show new image near categories not automaticly detect

if you have all them off i dont know what to do

which version did you install ? the latest one is still in beta and this can be a bug
