I want to be able to have a web site for only certain people to access, or log into with a certain user name they either chose or is given to them. How do i go about doing that? I have no idea where to start. I have a free web site but i am assuming i would need to purchase a web site. Am i right? Please help me i want to do find this out asap, I would like to present this to a couple people. Thanks

You are going to need a websited with some time of programming to create the login, and either a text file or a database to store the user names and passwords. Do you know if your webhost supports PHP? What kind of website is it? What do you want to happen after a user is logged in?
