It's showing the post number next to the member's name in each post and I can't figure out what I did.

Example:
1288pnclthnmstsh
Administrator
(Rank image goes here)
(Avatar goes here)
etc etc

Check the viewtopic.php in the Forums folder and find where you name is output make sure you didnt addd anything funny there. Also check your templates folder (or themes) and open the viewtopic_body.tpl and make sure you didnt make a mistake adding something there. If you can't see the problem then attach both and I will see if I notice anything.

Also in the theme you are using for your site it sometimes has a forum folder in there... if thats the case find the tpl files in there as it will override the forum theme.

Thats what was happening to me telli when tryin to remove them x profile links.. the theme had its own forum theme.

I found my goof. I was changing the layout and using a validator that said "a name=" is not a valid command to use in a TD tag and was giving errors in this line in viewtopic_body:
<td a name="{postrow.U_POST_ID}"></a>
so I took out the "a name </a>" part and forgot to put it back

Also, if you are getting scripting errors on that page the validator liked it when I changed the line to this:
<td><a name="{postrow.U_POST_ID}"></a>

All is good now
