Hello m8,
The Webmail module that comes with php-nuke dosent work because theres a problem with the copyright i have read that it have a lot of security holes...

This is a quote from php-nuke.org:

Addons: Copyright issue on WebMail module

Hello Nukers! Few days ago I was contacted by the author of the RC4Crypt class used by the WebMail module included in PHP-Nuke as a module. This module has been taken from Ecomjunk.com and I personaly modified many of its parts. The author of the crypt class in question, has demostrated that this script is released under proprietary license and it isn't GPL. For this reason I decided today to fix it and remove the WebMail module from the PHP-Nuke distribution to avoid any copyright infringement, which isn't the spirit behind all this work. If you're distributing PHP-Nuke and/or WebMail module please proceed to remove the offending file (class.rc4crypt.php) from the source or just delete the WebMail module. There will be a GPL solution in the near future. Thanks for your attention on this issue.

Try looking for a replacement module, i know one thats called AceMail, download it here:

That link is dead and the site looks like it's going through a revamp. Know of any others. I don't want people to be able to make accounts, just check and send from ones they already have. icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks mArK!

I installed and actually followed instructions icon_biggrin.gif

It worked fine for my account ... but when I logged in as my alter ego I received a Error: Permission Denied ... both accounts have pretty much the same rights.

I have no idea about Ace Mail, but you might want to try the Webmail module again. I ran across it the other day and noticed in the first line it says:

"Changed to EncDec Class which was Posted as freeware! The original
class was not freeware/GPL! So this way I can use WebMail again icon_smile.gif"

So maybe it is ok to use again? Here are the full details, you might want to check your the version # of the one you removed to this one, see if it is newer. Here are the full details:

WebMail v7.6 Rev.4a
Webmail --- 0.9.3_kagarisemoddedfor7.6 Rev.4a

Changed to EncDec Class which was Posted as freeware! The original
class was not freeware/GPL! So this way I can use WebMail again icon_smile.gif
Also corrected issue with pop3.inc not pulling enough information.
by Michael Kagarise JUNE/2004 (http://kagarisefamily.com)
*Rev.4a Changes*-Corrected problem with send mail saying it was sent but it was not (by walb of nukecops.com)
*Rev.4 Changes*-Corrected problems with set_time String in Safe
- Revalidated all for 7.6. Works Great !!!
*Rev.3c Changes*-Correct settings Error when creating new account
*Rev.3b Changes*-Correct $smtpserver sql error in settings.php
(thank you 'Molten2' for seeing this problem and correcting it)
*Rev.3 Changes*--Please Note that Their is Security Fixes as well
Stripped out Attachment(s) so NO-One can send or Recieve Attachments

See file_id.diz for complete credits, legals, and change log.
