Hi. I run a company web site and we currently do regular updates on it and publish via Frontpage. Now i know there is no need to do this with phpnuke as its all done on line which is one of many reasons why we want to move to phpnuke.

Currently the web site like most is installed in the root of the web at domain.com seem as i dont know a lot about phpnuke i have installed it at domain.com/test to play around with things. The question is this, is there a easy way to transfer the installation from /test to domain.com ? As i didnt want downtime while we copy all the pages over to phpnuke and try to learn how to use it fully. I know i could just move the current site to say /main or something and set the php in root but that would be a problem for people who come to us from a search engine. Any Ideas ?

Also i tried to get google ads to show in a box at the side but nothing shows any ideas ?

Also the menu bar at the side, modules is it, how can i create ones just for us like About Us and Technical support etc as they dont exist ?

Many Thanks all.

First off transfering your site from test to root is very simple, but lets cross that bridge when we get there. Once you get a little more friendly with the Nuke CMS this will be much easier to explain.

Here is a blank module. It will give you an idea on how to add your own items to the menu. Just be sure to read the instructions included. [ Register or login to view links on this board. ]

I hope that helps.
