ok i have searched and found nothing. What i want to do i think is simple. i have placed an image in a block on my page. the block has scrolling content. when the content hits the bottom of the image, i disapears. wich is fine. it looks just fine and works greate. but what i would like to do is make the image part of the background so that the content just scrolls right over the top of the image and keeps going. How can i do this?

MAke a table inside the block and add a background property on it.

<table border="0" width="100%" background="myimage.gif">
<tr><td>CONTENT</td></tr>
</table>

I think you need to google some html.... Tons of resources out there for you.

$content .="<img src='http://www.asp-gamers.com/main/avitars/aspmm.jpg' width='148'  border='0'>";

Make sure
$content .= "

Is not the first instance of $content used. If so it should be
$content = "

Hope this helps.

That's all i have been doing is searching the net for information. I have about 10 different sites stored for info. You see that's what these forums are for. when you get stuck, you ask a question. that's what i am doing. I have found many ways to insert images. sometimes i found that when i use quotes for links, it messes things up.
As for your response. i don't understand what you are saying. I see that you removed the period from $content =" ... are you saying that if i remove the period something different will happen. I am not a programmer, so it would help if you explained alittle more. thanks.

Sorry If I was unclear...

You should try this statement first for your image
$content .="<img src='http://www.asp-gamers.com/main/avitars/aspmm.jpg' width='148'  border='0'>";

If that doesn't work remove the period from $content.

i don't think that's any different from the line i am using. I do have the image displaying in the block. it looks fine. but telli posted code using background...look up a few posts. and the guy said it worked great. when i tried it, it didn't work.
I tried your advice and removed the period and found that it didn't make any difference. the picture still displays the same. I thought from telli's post. that if i used the background comment that the image would display differently. that the scrolling content would scroll over the image instead of under it. or something.
