I tried asking this somewhere else and the answer I got was not the solution.
I also just read through some posts here and was able to find part of the solution but not a fix. When ever I try to post in phpnuke8.0 I get a blank page after posting. And the post I just did is not saved.

I turned on errors (thanks to a post here) and now the problem is.......

//Fatal error: Only variables can be passed by reference in /home/eastcoa3/public_html/modules/Forums/includes/functions_search.php on line 116//

Without the slashes of course. Can anyone tell what to do?

Thats a strange error possibly a PHP bug. WHat version of PHP do you have on your server?

Saving this as phpinfo.php and viewing in a web browser will tell you:

<?
phpinfo();
?>

The ver of php is 5.0.5 That's what it says in the cpanel. I had alot of problems installing a shopping cart because of this also. I had to pay someone to install it for me. Update on this problem. I went and commented it out and it works fine so far.
