Hi,
I was wondering if there was a way to set up an assistant administrator account with the web host? Due to pc problems I have been having lately I could use the help of one of my fellow lg admins to update the html for the main page. I would rather find a way to set up an assistant admin account for them than to share my username and pw. Any help from CZ staff would be appreciated. So many lgs have made bad choices on whom to trust and would hate to give my main log-in info out and become one of them. I tried to set up a test name under my account and it seemed like it would not allow that test name into the html folder to upload needed updates. Maybe I did something wrong with setting it up...wouldn't be the first time i goofed..lol.

Hiya Red, and welcome back. Sorry to hear about your computer problems. Are you talking about the Cases league page? If I'm not mistaken, you can set someone up as an Admin, with their own username and login, and only give them rights to certain areas. I'm pretty sure that's how ours is set up. I'm set up as a Site Admin so that I can do the league page. I don't have access to any of the HA stuff (except the forums) or the HTD/TD stuff.

If that's what you're talking about, I'll find out how it was done and let you know.

Hi Kelly,
The host I was referring to was the host site with CodezHost. As far as the case's one, wow did we learn our lesson with choosing a bad admin...lol. Cases had to reinstate all of our td stats after one got on a little mad spree. So just trying to find a way with the codezhost one to have an extra person in case it takes me a few days to get everything back on the new pc when it arrives, without having to take the risk of them changing my pw so I cannot get into it again.

And thank you for the welcome back. I am usually here a few times a week, yet have been finding my answers in other posts so thats why I have been silent for a change...hehe. Am sure that will change because next project is to learn phpnuke...lol

P.S. Just a reminder to blow the layer of dust off of your cooling fan for the processor. Things tend to get a bit hot and then not work at all...

You cannot add another account to access your main files you would have to give them your password and username. You can however make an upload form that would allow them to upload into the site but they cannot edit your files unless you give them full permission.

How difficult is it to make the upload form...sounds like a nice way to go yet kinda lost as far as how it would be written to achieve what I need..
