I began by having problems with the way nuke.sql set up my nuke_author table now I am getting this

What you suggested last time (cut and paste the sript related to nuke_author table) might work again on this one, but, would this mean there is smething wrong with the nuke.sql file?
I did re.install the whole thing with phpmyadmin calling nuke.sql but it did not solve things.

these directions will not solve what conflicts you have but it will give a more detailed error message so we can see exactly what is going on with your files.

In oyur sql_layer.php file, open and edit it...right around line286..look for something like this

case "MySQL":
$row = mysql_fetch_row($res);
return $row;
break;;

Table 'angol.nuke_faqCategories' doesn't exist

Now, it does exist only thta is all in lower case as all the other ones... Should I delete it and create "nuke_faqCategories" instead?

There are two identical strings at sql_layer.php at around the same line, as per your quotes, they are:

Is this normal?

Where did you get this nuke.sql? And yes if it says the table doesnt exist then please make it.

Looked fishy only because it was in Spanish, it is 7.0 Is this the right place fpr the latest file?

Yes it is there is also a version of 7.0 in the downloads here

You can try that one it has all the major fixes and new sql vulnerabilitys fixed up.

.....What brings me to the next inevitable question, and please be gentle with the answer. How do I replace the old files with the new ones, or do I have to remove (uninstall) all the stuff first?

And yes
1.- The problem was solved when I created the file with "C" in uppercase.
2.- The new file also has the sql file with supporting text in spanish!!
