Hi! first off GREAT SITE. You all have been a relief to my beginnings with this wonderful thing PHP. Anyway,
Could someone please explain to the php newbie here how this works? i have php 6.0 and want to upgrade to 7.0
Will i lose all my data in upgrading like this? what do i need to change to make this happen? Thanks your a great community! TIA!!!

i0i to telli and all!!!!!

Upgrading from previous versions
--------------------------------

To upgrade a prevoius PHP-Nuke installation to this new version you
need to edit the selected upgrade file from upgrades directory and launch
your web browser to:

[ Register or login to view links on this board. ]

all the new tables will be added and updated automagically without touch
your old data.

what does this actually mean? sorry im a novice but a fast learner...:

also with what i have now i cant post in forums, or use private messages... will the upgrade fix this?
I get no errors. whats the difference between CZ7.0 and regular 7.0nuke? sorry im dumb as a rock with this, but learn like a spong.

oh and another thing.... is it possible to put a block in a module page?

CZ 7.0 has some of the popular addons added for you. Nuke 7.0 is standard. To upgrade you need to upload all the files then run the update script for your case you will need to update 6.0-6.5 then 6.5-6.6 then 6.6-6.7 then 6.7-6.8 then 6.8- 6.9 and then finnally 6.9-7.0 make sure you do it in this order so you dont mess with the database.

lol i went to go edit my last post and to tell you what to do but you all ready posted lol ok take the files in the 6x and upload them to your main directory....If you dont know where that is that would be where you admin, blocks, images and other folder would be located so upload the the files under the 6x not the 6x folder and when you did that just point your browser to [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] and after that point your browser to like [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] <<<what ever the file is called and then do the same thing but replace it with [ Register or login to view links on this board. ] ever the file is called lol you know what im talking about correct...and do is until you reach the file like 6.9-7.0
